If I were forced to name my top 10 restaurants in the world, Sean’s Panaroma would certainly be included in the list. I’ve been a fan of Seans for more years than I’d like to admit now and it’s still one of the best places to enjoy a long boozy lunch.

The vibe is beachy and casual as are the views, but the food is always world class – in a very rustic unassuming way. It’s the type of food that is screaming with flavour and the joy that comes from fresh, top knotch produce being treated simply and with respect.

loved

the engaging, chatty staff
the relaxing, unpretentious vibe & decor
the broad bean crostini
the truffles from milthorpe – fabulous to see such an enormous, chunk being shaved at the table
the super crispy chicken with celeriac remoulade salad – perfect tasty birds
the parsnip pudding – unusual to see the veg at dessert but a welcome change
the relaxing pace of the meal
being able to BYO

didn’t love

the wintery bondi wind

ate

broad bean crostini with goats cheese
prawns with chilli & garlic
rich gnocchi with freshly shaved black truffle
crispy chicken with chickpea and celeriac
beef – 2 ways
parsnip & ginger steamed pudding with custard
hazelnut icecream with chocolate sauce
the cheese plate with walnut bread

drank

way too much (!)
laurent perrier nv
coopers green
head red shiraz viogner

value

expensive but worth it $300 for 2

I agree with you, Jul. Sean’s Panarama is absolutely delish and one of my all time favourites! I love how they have the menu on the mini chalkboards xoxo
