Earl

The Earl of Sandwich was a very clever man. I mean, it’s hard to think of a better lunch. When I was at boarding school, I quickly learned that most things could be improved upon by turning them into a sandwich. But the seriously delicious sandwiches at EARL canteen are a whole universe away from my poor school fare.

These are serious sandwiches. Sandwiches for grown-ups with decadent sandwich fillings. We’re talking things like Otway pork belly, apple & cabbage, we’re talking confit of duck, we’re talking boudin blanc with cavalo nero, we’re talking roast pumpkin with gorgonzola. We’re talking restaurant quality food served between the freshest of bread.

If you find yourself in the Melbourne CBD at lunch, or even breakfast I highly recommend planning a trip to EARL. The only problem will be deciding which sandwich suits you best. Maybe start planning two trips.
