One doesn’t normally associate Greek food with brunch or breakfast but from now on I plan to take it into consideration. Especially next time I find myself in Melbourne and any where near Lygon Street.

loved

the light, airy decor
the spanikopita – wondferful light pastry and surprisingly delicious brunch food with the poached eggs
the thick cut bacon – serious porky goodness
the sardines on toast – not everyone’s idea of a good brunch but delicious for those of us who love little oily fish
the bread – thick cut toasted on the grill
the open kitchen

didn’t love

that they don’t have an outlet in sydney

ate

spanikopita with poached egg
sardines on toast with tomato & parsley
potato omelette
mushrooms
baked beans
thick cut bacon

drank

flat white
skim flat white
cappuccino
breakfast tea

value

good

reservations

not essential for brunch but a good idea

perfect for

a casual & very satisfying weekend brunch
